Diabetes Is Fatal

Diabetes can be controlled by diet and exercise. Unfortunately, if it is not properly controlled it is fatal.

In 2006 alone, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 231,404 people died from diabetes, or conditions related to diabetes. That makes it the seventh most deadly condition in the United States.

And worse yet, dying from diabetes is not pretty. As the disease progresses it wreaks havoc on your limbs and organs, and many patients are forced to have one or both of their feet amputated. The CDC reports that in 2007, 65,700 people had a leg or foot amputated because of diabetes.
