Global Obesity Crisis Worsens

Over one-third of all people in the world are either overweight or obese according to a new study from the Lancet. This is a drastic increase since 1980, when around 30 percent of all people in the world were overweight.

Being overweight is defined as having a body-mass index (BMI) of 25 kg/m2 or greater. For a person who is 5′ 6″ this means weighing less than 160 pounds. If you are 6′ tall you should try to bring your weight to under 190 pounds.

This is a worrying sign, considering all the health risks associating with being overweight.
