Low in Calories is Healthy

When we talk about eating ‘healthy’ on this blog, what we are really talking about is eating foods that are low in calories.

We know that not many people focus on calories these days, but they should. Calories are the only item in food that we know for a fact causes increased weight gain. There are no definitive studies or evidence that shows that carbs are that important (besides the fact that they are often high in calories). New evidence might emerge some day, until then we will stick to talking about calories.
