What is CBD Oil?

CBD (Cannabidiol) is the primary chemical compound found in the hemp plant. CBD does not contain Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the psychoactive chemical ingredient in marijuana and will NOT make you “high”.

CBD oil is one of the 104 cannabinoids found in the Cannabis sativa plant. It is made by extracting CBD oil from the cannabis plant, then diluting with a carrier oil like coconut oil.

Advantages of CBD as a medical treatment

  • CBD oil is available in multiple forms and may be swallowed, taken sublingual or vaped.

Although there needs to be more research, CBD may prove to be an option for managing anxiety, insomnia and chronic pain.
